Izabella (Izzy) Cheyenne came from the Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation in Lame Deer Montana. As with most reservation dogs their world is dog eat dog, sad but true. They have to fight for their food, fight for their puppies and literally fight for their lives. As you look around the small town of Lame Deer, you will not see any cats anywhere. We did not know or understand this until my husband brought her home to Dove Creek. We have always had cats and dogs. Unfortunately it is her natural instinct. Cats are food. We have tried every thing possible to break her primal instinct but to no avail. It breaks my heart to have to give her up but I cannot risk losing my cats to her. She is sweet, loving, minds very well, has a very gentle disposition and in the three years we have had her she has never had an accident in the house. She is not a barker and loves kids and people, any body that will give her a belly rub. She also is good with other dogs (after some introduction) but is not adept in play so she can be kind of rough. Of the 3 other dogs (they are little dogs) we have in our home she is the best behaved of them all. She just has the one flaw. She loves to go on walks and does well off leash when you have her out where she can run, and she does love to run. She is a very good companion, and revels in praise, love and attention. Izzy is quiet spoiled to the comforts of Home. Warmth, love and good food. Her face almost speaks gratitude at times. She needs another chance because she deserves to be in a home where there are no temptations. Izzy will fit in beautifully with just about any kind of family. If you have time and love to give she will become a loving and loyal part of your family. ABSOLUTELY NO CATS! Contact Kathy at sweetspirit1@live.com for more info.
